Book Blurb
In Prague, Laura feels that she has met her soulmate. Yet how can her soul merge with the son of a Nazi?
After being passed over for a promotion at a Chicago advertising agency, Laura cashes in her stock options, quits her job, and moves to Prague. There, she begins an erotic romance with Byron, only to discover that he is German and his father was in the Hitler Youth. As an observant Jew, Laura has deep misgivings about becoming involved with the son of a Nazi, but the attraction between them is so strong that she cannot resist.
When a woman from Byron’s past – the darkly exotic Zsa Zsa – comes between them, can the true love of Laura and Byron survive?

Dangerous Love, my debut novel, was released on 8.6.12 by Crimson Romance, a division of F+W Media.
We all know the adage, “You can't judge a book by its cover.” In my case, you can judge – correctly. The design team at Crimson Romance produced cover art that precisely matches my vision. The blonde woman is Laura, beautiful and chic. The setting is Prague, in all of its multi colored and mystical wonder.
Chapter 1 – Bohemian Eyes opens with a description of the Prague princesses. Laura imitates their sexy style, especially their eye makeup – dramatic charcoal liner and lashes generously embellished with jet black mascara. You can see this, too, in the rendering of Laura.
Missing from the cover is our hero, Byron. So, I would like to give you a sneak peek.
Byron is German. His father was a member of the Hitler Youth during World War II. This is the central conflict of the story because Laura is Jewish and American and consequently besieged with guilt. Yet the attraction between them is so powerful that neither can resist.
Byron wears the black leather jacket that once belonged to his father, with the Nazi swastika and other emblems torn off. Why? Good question. Laura would also like to know.
When Byron was a teenager growing up in West Germany, he fantasized about being with a Jewish girl. He did not know any Jewish girls in post Holocaust Germany.
And then, at midlife, he meets Laura.
He tells Laura that seeing her for the first time (from a distance, from behind)
“triggered something physiological in me – ”
“Like what? Did you get hard?”
“I did. But it was not until I saw your face that I knew I had to act on it.”
He used to be a scholarly art critic. Now he is an art dealer whose clients are young and brash and push boundaries. He introduces Laura to one of them, Sergei.
The three embark on a night that verges on a threesome, bondage, and spanking.
Why?
Byron introduces her to a second client, the darkly exotic Zsa Zsa. Another possible love triangle ensues. This tigress also happens to be his ex. Why again?
Because Byron is complicated. In his case, it is not possible to judge the book by the cover. When he met Laura, it was for him lust (if not love) at first sight. In the second half of Dangerous Love, he must meet the challenge of proving to her his deepest love.
And yes, I am a little in love with him.

DeleteHi Lilou: I actually have a couple of questions. Did you find that your Philosophy degree helps you write erotica? Or do you find that living in Washington helps you more?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giveaway,
Lynn
lareynolds0316@gmail.com
Hi Lynn! Thank you for your questions!
DeleteThere is a section in Dangerous Love where Laura is being drugged and she recalls out of nowhere Hegel's Phenomenology of Mind. The Crimson Romance editor left it in. It refers to the "master & slave."
In my next novel, the heroine works for the CIA. Living in Washington, DC is definitely helping me to write the 2nd book (although not necessarily the erotic parts).
Good luck with the drawings!
