The saucy ladies of Riverina Romantics are totally stoked because our own Eden Summers has recently learned that her story, Concealed Desire, will be published by Etopia Press! That's right our girl has made the big time!!Eden has made it her personal goal this past year of making writing her priority and boy did it pay off in a big, big way. While you might know Eden from her writing on the blog we thought it would be fun for you all to get to know Eden as an author. So for the next few months we will be posting mini-interviews so you can get to know her up close and personal and see just how she has gone from a kick ass blogger to an awesome author. So without further ado here is the one, the only amazing Eden Summers! We love you girlfriend!!
So this week we are going to just dip our toes in Eden's waters a bit and take a peek into her personal life. Now we did read somewhere that she thinks we are going to go easy on her with these interviews so game on sister, we are thinking that we will be revamping our questions in the next rounds a bit. *grin*
RR: Welcome Eden! It's surreal to actually be interviewing you today! We need to party we know the vodka is around here somewhere. ;)
Eden: Thank you so much ladies. And I look forward to you trying to test me with your future questions :p
RR: So tell us where in this big old world are are you from?
Eden: I live in a regional city in New South Wales – Australia, called Wagga Wagga. The name actually means 'many crows'. We don't have a hell of a lot of things to do here, but I love where I live.
RR: Do you have a family? Children? Pets?
Eden: I’m extremely happily married to my soul mate and we have two young boys who keep us on our toes. The moodiest male in the house is Doug our cat (my husband named him). We also have two crazy eyed dogs. Our Border Collie Ellie, has one blue eye and one brown and our Blue Heeler was attacked by another dog last year and lost her sight in one eye.
RR: Has your hubby been helpful when it comes to research for your steamy scenes?
Eden: *snort* I have a whole blog post I’m organising to discuss this topic and my husband’s refusal to help me with research. So to give you the short answer – No, he does not help AT ALL. But he would get a big chuckle out of your question.
**Check out Eden's hilarious post on just this subject here.**
RR: Tell us you favorite color.
Eden: Purple
RR: Snacks, are you feeling salty or sweet?
Eden: If I say ‘salty’ it makes me sound dirty – but I’m a fan of both depending on the will of my cravings.
RR: What's it going to be chocolate or caramel?
Eden: Definitely chocolate. I don’t like caramel at all.
RR: Beverage of choice, coffee or soda?
Eden: Bit of both. I have to have at least one coffee a day, but I love Coke too, especially McDonald's Coke.
RR: What is your dream meal?
Eden: Roast lamb with baked vegis and a HEAP of gravy. I also love Chinese food and my nan's Polish Chicken Noodle Soup.
RR: What is your favorite cocktail? Because you know cocktails are very important here!
Eden: Wagga isn’t really known for its cocktails, so I haven’t tried many but I did have a Midori daiquiri in a fishbowl last time I ventured out for a night on the town. It was awesome.
RR: Ah yes the fishbowl, go big or go home. That's our girl! Thanks for shooting the breeze with us today Eden and we'll catch up with you again for Part 2!
Eden: I look forward to it my saucy wenches.
Join us for Part 2 of Eden's interview when we will talk to her about when she first found out she was going to get published and how Concealed Desire got started!

ReplyDeleteThank you babe. One day me and you will be sitting at a bar sharing a bottle of Grey Goose. It's on my bucket list and I can't wait for it to happen.
DeleteLove you babe.
Well based on how high airline fares are getting let's hope when we cross off that Grey Goose on your bucket list that I'm not so old that it is coming thru an IV drip. *giggle*
DeleteRight back at you with the love. D *xoxoxo*
My favorite drink is a whipped creamtini. Love them!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! Great interview!! My fave drink is from Outback and is the Wallaby Darned (best drink ever!!) LOL Thanks for the chance to win!!! Have a great weekend!! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that one but it sounds like a great Aussie drink.
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Enjoyed your interview, and Congratulations!! As alcohol makes me ill I shall raise a toast to you in the next best thing, Hot Chocolate :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Irene, and don't worry about not joining in with the alcohol, I think I had enough for all of us when I received the contract. *giggle*
DeleteGotta love a good hot chocolate though - especially in winter, which it is in Australia at the moment.
So excited for you!! Congrats!! I am pretty simple in my choices of drinks, nice glass of sweet white wine (Moscato/Reisling) or an ice cold cider draft! Here's to you luv!
ReplyDeleteKassandra
sionedkla@gmail.com
Kassandra you are a woman after my own heart. I love Moscato!!!
DeleteIt's the only wine I've ever enjoyed.
Congrats Eden! I`ll be celebrating with a shot of Cabo Wabo!
ReplyDeleteNo idea what that is Theresa but I will be looking it up. I love shots.
DeleteThank you for commenting!
I can't even begin to say how proud I am of you, babe! Sending you lots of love and great big hugs! *mwah*
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Nis. You were one of my first ever cheer leaders and I appreciated the support you gave so much!!
DeleteThanks honey.
Congrats!! Wish you many blessings for you!
ReplyDeleteI'd share with you a strawberry cocktail! yummy!!
Thank you Lissette,
DeleteIf only this was a real party I would be well and truly dancing on the tables by now.
A strawberry cocktail sounds lovely.
Congrats!! So exciting!! I would say celebrate with a Pina Coloda or a nice cold hard cider.
ReplyDeleteMel
Thank you Mel, yes it is very exciting...well it is for me anyway. I'm like a kid in a candy store.
DeleteI've heard a lot about Pina Coloda's but never tried one...damn Wagga and old fashion drinks.
Soooooo excited for you, sweetie!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Nan's dish sounds DELISH!! ;)
Can't wait to get a copy of your book :D :D I plan on putting a giant "<3" on the inside cover. Next to your name.
Mrs. Fiona Druce Summers? "Mr"? Crap... that won't work.. I'll figure something out. :D
Hello sweetie pie.
DeleteMy nan's soup rocks, especially when you are sick. Nothing kills the germs like nan's soup. I can never make it as good as she does.
And we will have to work together on your name :)
Congrats Eden! Can't wait to read more.
ReplyDeleteAs for my favorite cocktail to celebrate with would be something like a Pina Coloda or Strawberry Daiquiri or Margarita. Although I would have to have them "virginized" due to having to take blood thinners.
Thank you June.
DeleteVirginized is still okay. I love the margarita glasses...never had a drink out of one, but they look very 007-ish.
I really need to go to the big city and smash some proper drinks.
Congrats!!!!!!!!! It's always so cool to hear how hard work pays off :) Here's wishing you much success and many more release!
ReplyDeleteI love bailey's irish cream... by it's self... yum!
Thanks Erin.
DeleteI set myself a goal and made sure I kept to it. Having great writing buddies helped though.
And I like Bailey's too!! Yum.

ReplyDeleteCongrats, Eden, on your new release! You sound like one funny chick who is a great author. LOVED your article on your blog about your hubby...I swear I married your man's twin!
ReplyDeleteI don't drink anymore but when I did my favorite cocktail was Sex on the Beach!
Thank you. I hope people think my work is great when its released. :)
DeleteAnd LMAO about your hubby. My man is such a great guy, but the romance sucked out of him like a vacuum when we got married. Now its all about the sprint instead of the marathon sessions.
"Okay, it's half time in the footy hon, get ya gear off"
"Oh baby, you say the sweetest things"
LMAO.
Thanks for commenting!
Congrats to you!! :) Can't wait for it to be released!! :)
ReplyDeleteOhh noo I'm actually quite boring to say I've never had a cocktail... Hmm... my birthdays coming so I think it's a good excuse as any to have one! :)
Hi Kerry-Ann, don't worry I have only had a very few cocktails.
DeleteWagga isn't the sort of place to see margarita glasses. It's either spirits, beer or wine. The country way!
But make sure you have one for your birthday, enjoy it and let me know how it goes.
Congratulations on your book. I'm looking foward to reading it. I also love the name of your town we have boring city names in the United States.
ReplyDeletelorimeehan1@aol.com
Hi Lori, I hope you enjoy Concealed Desire.
DeleteWagga Wagga is a special place and I don't know about the boring names in United States, you guys have some freakishly long names for places.
Thanks for commenting
congrats on your book, sounds great. my new fav is homemade choke cherry wine!!!!
ReplyDeletejaimela77@gmail.com
Thank you Jaime.
DeleteI admire anyone who can make their own alcohol. My husband tried the whole beer making kit...he doesn't drink, so it was definitely a waste of money.
Congratulations on your book. I like sex on the beach. Tore923@aol.com
ReplyDeleteHi Tore,
DeleteI like sex in the shower, but what sort of drink do you like?
*giggle*
Thanks for commenting
Congrats Eden! Not sure if this is a cocktail but I love Amarula. Try some!
ReplyDeletedebby236 at gmail dot com

Thanks for the comment.

ReplyDeletei don't think i ever drink a cocktail, virgin or alcohol. :p
smile_1773 at yahoo dot com
Hi Sienny,
ReplyDeleteLol, having Concealed Desire become a best seller would definitely be awesome. I think I would need a combination of all the above drinks to be able to come to terms with it.
I hope everyone loves Beth and Dean as much as I love them .
Congrats on your book, Great interview. My favorite drink would be a strawberry margarita. Book sounds fantastic. Thx for giveaway.
ReplyDeleteblinkysthebest at aol dot com

I can't say that i have a favorite cocktail as im not a regular drinker. If i was to order one when celebrating, i would have the bar tender surprise me :)
