TWO BRILLIANT AGENTS
FBI Special Agent Monica Davenport has made a career out of profiling serial killers. But getting inside the twisted minds of the cruel and the sadistic has taken its toll: She's walled herself off from the world. Yet Monica can't ignore fellow agent Luke Dante, the only man who ever broke through her defenses.
ONE DREAM TEAM
Luke has the unique ability to put victims at ease...professionally, he and Monica made a perfect team. Now they're reunited to catch a murderer who uses his victims' deepest, darkest fears for sport - but their investigative skills aren't enough. Luke and Monica will have to face the secrets from their past, the ones that terrify them the most, if they are to have a future together.
BUT CAN THEY CATCH A KILLER WHOSE WEAPON IS...

Within a few pages of my first Cynthia Eden story I could tell this author is damn talented.
Her voice is clear, sharp and straight to the point - in every single sentence. There is no cause for boredom, no need to skim read, every single page moves the story forward.
Monica and Luke were a great team, not only in the field but in the bedroom. And I realise this is fiction, but Cynthia Eden made this story believable with her imperfect characters. Their lives weren't easy, they had major issues and the darkness made their happily ever after all the more enjoyable.
My biggest problem with reading this book was that I didn't have any time to read it in big chunks. I was clawing for minutes alone just to read a few more pages at a time and I really hate reading like that. I love to read in big, meaty, juicy chucks - but in saying that, Romeo and the Watchman (the Villains) would have probably given my nightmares if I consumed this book any quicker.
Deadly Fear was a great start to a series I can't wait to continue. I do usually like books with more romance - even when they are romantic suspense, but I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
