Wren Marlow is suddenly thrust into the unusual situation of not being the crazy one. Her whole life she's seen and known things that she shouldn't have and all it had ever done was get her slapped with a bunch of labels by shrinks. Now, a gorgeous alien, calling himself a hybrid, tells her that not only is she not crazy, she's like him... that they were genetically engineered to be perfect for one another.
The threats are coming from all sides and all they can do is cling to one another. But can Wren really accept this life that seems so foreign to her and this man who claims to be her destiny? What will happen when Wren discovers that Kyr's former lovers are not women, but the very men he serves with?
I really likes the premise of this novella and found it quite unique. The world that Seraphina created is quite interesting. I found that it did justice to it's sci-fi bearings. I has spaceships and aliens as well as foreign technology and customs.
As I already stated this story was majorly hot. Be sure to have someone (or something - I've got nothing against toys) near you while reading it cause your gonna need them to help you relieve some... uh... stress. I thought the scenes were excellently paced and full steam.
If I rated this novella purely on the story and sexiness if would definitely get a 5. Unfortunately though there were a few issues with it that brought it down for me. The first one was that there were a few minor editing issues. Not much mind you but enough to put a hitch in my stride. The second issue was that there wasn't a conversation between Kry and Wren about her wanting to search for the other missing mates but it was written as if there was. The insinuate felt weird.
The way that this story ended gave the impression that there will be more to come and I hope that it's true. Though short the storyline really drew me in. I'd be positively thrilled if Seraphina created more installments!
